The only goal you can have in your miserable existence is to kick the bucket as soon as possible.Book Easy Meat (Foodstuffs LitRPG Book 1) Review :
This is not deep, thoughtful, provoking literature. It is, however, an absolute page turner. It is Commando, Rambo, and Predator smashed up with BattleRoyale gameplay with pay to win mechanics and a total underdog MC. Its a total throwback to 80s Action movies, but with level ups, and skill points. It is just as shallow as those movies were but still also just as viscerally satisfying.I kind of want to hate it for what it lacks but It actually is very well written and the guilty pleasure outweighs my qualms about such a throwback protagonist. I enjoy plots that move faster. I find this story spends to much time getting the main character on their feet and detailing the world and situation the main character is found in.I enjoy a more realistic or probable scenario. In this book the author built a world where thing happen for reasons unknow to the readers. I can't understand and am confused by the motivations of the puppet master in this case.I don't enjoy cliffhangers. This tale stops in a semi cliffhanger setting; while a good place to stop I feel to much was left unsaid. As a result, the readers are left with little to go on to determine if the next book will be worth the wait and the cost.I prefer the Dark series by the same author. All said it boils down to a difference in preferences.
